Member of the College of the State Bar of Texas Brian Williams first decided that he would be an attorney when he was in the sixth grade in Girard, Ohio, a small city near the Pennsylvania line in Eastern Ohio. Hard work resulted in the offer of numerous four-year scholarships in his senior year of high school.

Brian graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Economics. He graduated from Ohio Northern University College of Law in 1980. He began practicing law in May 1980 after passing the bar exam.

His practice in Ohio lasted until 1984 when he moved to Houston in 1984. In 1985, he was licensed to practice in Texas. Brian chose to practice in several areas of the law where he could draw on his background as an accountant. This background has enabled him to provide his clients with a deeper understanding of the financial and tax issues effecting their cases.

In 2002 he was invited to membership in the College of the State Bar, a privilege open to only a small percentage of Texas attorneys.

Membership in the College of the State Bar recognizes the dedication by the attorney to continuing education far beyond the minimum requirements of the State Bar.

Brian has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Texas and the Northern District of Ohio, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Northwest Bar Association.
